    Frisco spans two counties and four school districts. The Denton County side of Frisco ISD carries a lower combined rate than the Collin side — 1.630855 against 1.675480 — and Prosper ISD, Lewisville ISD and Little Elm ISD all have territory inside the city limits. The district, not the city, decides most of your bill. Frisco has only two public improvement districts, Panther Creek PID 1 at $2,497.82 per lot and PID 2 at $3,014.59 per lot, and as of 27 March 2025 the city is closing both.

    What is being built

    Universal Kids Resort opened 1 July 2026 with a 20-acre park, seven themed lands and a 300-room hotel. Firefly Park by Wilks Development is a 230-acre project with 2,200 residential units, 650,000 sq ft of office and a 177-key hotel, with phase one retail late 2027. Fields West, 55 acres inside the 2,544-acre Fields development, opens from Q3 2027. The Link at PGA Frisco is a $1 billion, 240-acre project; The Mix is $3 billion on 112 acres; The Gate is $700 million on 41 acres.

    Who is hiring

    The Frisco EDC reported more than 3,100 jobs created or retained across 14 relocations and expansions in 2025, with more than $500 million in planned capital investment. Public Storage is relocating its headquarters to HALL Park with about 300 jobs and 119,000 sq ft, announced March 2026. Companies located in Frisco include PGA of America, Keurig Dr Pepper, T-Mobile USA, Fiserv, TIAA, Equinix, McAfee, Gearbox Software, SoFi, Shield AI and The Hartford.

    Frisco ISD enrolls 62,713 students across 76 campuses — 44 elementary, 19 middle and 13 high schools — with enrollment up 17.7% over ten years. A roughly $1.085 billion bond package was rejected by voters in November 2024, and remaining 2018 bond funds are being directed to infrastructure maintenance through summer 2027.     Frisco is 25 miles north of downtown Dallas and 25 miles from both DFW International and Dallas Love Field, per the Frisco EDC. The NTTA added a fourth lane each way on the Dallas North Tollway between SH-121 and US-380, taking it to eight lanes, with completion anticipated in early 2026.

    The city's own estimate is 249,246 residents, updated monthly from certificate-of-occupancy data, against a build-out estimate of about 330,000. Median household income is $150,212 in 2024 dollars and the owner-occupied rate is 65.9%, per the 2020-2024 American Community Survey.
